MSTC
recently signed agreement with the Department of Environment & Forests,
Assam for e-auction of minor mineral concession areas (Mahals) for granting
of mining lease / contract / permit of boulder, stone, sand, gravel, earth,
clay etc. This will reduce human interference, ensure more transparency in the
sale process and realise higher competitive price. Subsequently MSTC arranged
training programme at three cities viz. Guwahati,
Dibrugarh and Silchar for the bidders to acquaint them with the procedures of different
steps involved in the e-auction process. E-auctions are in progress for grant
of Lease / Contract for 20 Mahals of Sand, Gravel etc.
